| I graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Physical Education and received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University. I have taught and coached at the high and middle school level for over twelve years. Before that I managed a therapeutic group home for teenage girls for eight years. My family includes my wife Monica, daughters Angelica and Mackenzie, and son Charles. We moved up from West Palm Beach in 2004. I love to attend my childrens sporting events, go fishing and camp with the family. My current duties include: -
Coordinate The Freshman Academy -
Responsible for the observation of classroom instruction in order to help teachers in the evaluation of the instructional program -
Assume the responsibility of the operation of the school in the absence of the principal. -
Confer with students and, as required, with parents regarding achievement, growth, discipline, extra-curricular activities, and other matters believed to be related to the success of the students -
Counsel with students -
Over see Substitue Teachers -
Supervise extra-curricular activities -
Represent the school at community functions when requested by the principal -
Coordinate building security -
Provide security at all home football games and other events as assigned -
Process and respond to all referrals within two school days / Keep discipline in SASI up to date. -
Assume the responsibility for walkthrough and evaluative observations of teachers and staff assigned by the principal. -
Coordinate procedures to assure compliance with all attendance guidelines, including intervention conferences and referrals to the attendance office. -
Develop and enforce procedures for reconciling student indebtedness -
Administrator in charge of the freshman class—Discipline etc. -
Requisition, allocation, and inventory of all textbooks -
Serve as fixed assets coordinator and assume responsibility for fixed assets -
In charge of the Freshmen Academy, Related Arts, (Fine Arts, Physical Education, ROTC) and Foreign Language departments - Provide assistance and coordinate with guidance and in the planning of Awards Day Activities.
